Copper Mountain - American Flyer Lift

Описание: American Flyer is a six-person detachable bubble chairlift located at Copper Mountain. The chairlift runs from the Center Village base area up to the Flyer's Lodge, below the Union Peak summit. The lift primarily serves the central-western area of the frontside of the mountain that primaily consists of groomed beginner, as well as some intermediate, terrain. From the top of the chairlift, skiers and riders may also access the Timberline area, the Rendezvous, and Sierra high-alpine chairlifts, and all three of the resort's base villages. The chairlift was manufactured by Leitner-Poma and installed at the resort in 2018, replacing a 1986 Poma high-speed quad chairlift of the same name. At just under 10,000 feet long in length, American Flyers is the longest bubble chairlift in the world, as of 2023.

Copper Mountain is a ski resort located near Frisco, Colorado. The ski resort is located in the White River National Forest in Western Summit County. The resort is located directly off Interstate 70 and is about a 1.5-hour drive west of Denver, a 2.5-hour drive northwest of Colorado Springs, a 2.5-hour drive southwest of Fort Collins, a 10-minute drive south of Frisco, and a 25-minute drive southeast of Vail. The resort features three base areas: the East, Center, and West Villages each with a variety of lodging options, shopping, and dining. The frontside of the resort features a variety of terrain for all ability levels, with the mountain generally becoming more difficult as you move from west to east. Copper Mountain also features a couple of side areas on its eastern boundary, Alpine and Resolution, which cater to more advanced guests. Additionally, the ski resort also features some high-alpine terrain both on the frontside, which features a rare beginner high-alpine area off the Rendezvous chairlift, and on the backside. Copper Mountain is owned by Powdr and offers unlimited access to both full and base Ikon Pass holders with no blackouts.
