Sirin - Úsvit Slobody (The Dawn of Freedom) (Full Demo) [2006]

Описание: Sirin was a one-man Pagan Black Metal band from Slovakia, formed in 2006 by SturmWolf. The lyrical themes centered on Slavonic mythology, folklore, and ancestral traditions. The band’s name comes from Sirin, a mythological creature of Russian legends, described as having the head and chest of a beautiful woman and the body of a bird.

Sirin was part of the U.B.M.R. Circle, a collective of Slovakian underground black metal bands active between 2006 and 2011. The circle included Sirin, Concubia Nocte, Perterricrepus, Igric, Karpathia, and Warxath.

After releasing his debut demo Úsvit Slobody (The Dawn of Freedom) and a split with fellow U.B.M.R. band Karpathia (Vznešenej krvi zrodený), SturmWolf returned with his first full-length Moja otčina / My Fatherland, which was released in 2009 on the Ukrainian label Ancient Nation Productions. The album embraced a strong Pagan Black Metal folk sound, blending Slavonic and folk melodies, and also featured two reworked tracks from earlier demos along with a Temnozor cover.

In 2014, the original split with Karpathia Vznešenej krvi zrodený was re-released under a new title, Age of Myths and Legends, reaching a wider audience after the original CD-R had long been sold out and unavailable. This edition was issued on tape through Werewolf Promotion and Tryzna Production, featuring a new layout, bonus songs, and limited to 500 copies.

After several years of silence, Sirin returned with a three-way split alongside the Slovakian bands Krajiny Hmly and Ruiny Vekov, which was released in 2019 on Werewolf Promotion. The project’s most recent work is the 2022 full-length V pamäti, also released through Werewolf Promotion.
