The campaign not only highlights the human toll but also the financial burden on the healthcare system, which treated over 1 million road accident injuries in 2022 at a cost of nearly 8 billion baht. Officials say helmet use is one of the most effective ways to reduce fatalities and long-term injuries. The government is now calling on all riders to adopt safer habits and is promoting awareness through schools, social campaigns, and traffic enforcement.
