Hundreds of protesters attended an emergency rally held at Downing Street in London on Tuesday in opposition to Israel's renewed bombardment of the Gaza strip.
Demonstrating for over two hours, they called for an arms embargo on Israel and end to the UK government's commercial ties with the state.
Israel resumed air strikes on the strip early on Tuesday morning, killing over 400 Palestinians in attacks across the strip.
On Wednesday, Israel's military announced it had begun a ground offensive in the strip, as Netanyahu declared the assault "is just the beginning" of Israel's campaign.
