00:00 Air Fried Dill Pickles
Equipment
1 Air Fryer
1 Container
1 Tong Clippes
Ingredients
3 Pieces Pickles big
1/2 Cup Breading
1 Piece Egg
1/2 Cup Coconut Flour
Instructions
Gather all the ingredients you’ll need, including dill pickles, coconut flour, eggs, and your preferred breading mix. Make sure the pickles are well-drained to avoid fogginess and cut into round slices or fries. Preheat air fryer to 400°Fahrenheit (200°Celsius).
Start by lightly coating each pickle slice in coconut flour. This helps the egg stick better and adds an extra layer of crispiness. Make sure each piece is evenly coated before moving to the next step.
Beat the eggs in a bowl until smooth. Dip each coconut-floured pickle slice into the egg mixture, ensuring full coverage. This wet layer helps the breading stick perfectly.
Roll each pickle slice in your breading mix, pressing gently to adhere the coating. Arrange the breaded pickles in a single layer on your air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding to ensure they crisp up evenly.
Set your air fryer to 400°Fahrenheit (200°Celsius) and cook the pickles for 5 minutes. This will give them a nice golden color and crispy texture. Keep an eye on them to prevent overcooking.
Carefully flip each pickle slice using tongs halfway through cooking. This helps both sides become equally crispy and golden brown. Continue air frying for another 3 minutes, then serve hot and enjoy.
Notes
Pat pickles dry before breading. This helps the coating stick better and keeps them from getting soggy during cooking. This fried pickles recipe can use panko to coat pickle spears.
Use a light spritz of oil. Spraying a bit of cooking spray before air frying gives them that golden, crispy crunch without deep frying.
Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket. Give each pickle space so they cook evenly and stay crisp.
Serve right away for the best crunch. While they can be reheated, dill pickle slices are the crispiest and tastiest fresh out of the air fryer.
