There is pressure in today's culture for men and women to compete with each other: a battle of the sexes.
The truth is, though, that men and women need each other. Why would we want to be the same? We were made intentionally unique by God to complement each other with our differences. We can see this biologically in our bodies.
Men and women grow so much in having the other. We must be open in learning from each other. The point is not to stay as we were created in our difference, but to become more integrated and changed by the other. This is why marriage is a path to sanctity and holiness.
