🥖 No-Yeast Layered Cheese & Herb Bread 🥖
This easy homemade bread recipe combines buttery layers with a flavorful, cheesy filling — and you won’t believe how simple it is to make! Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or alongside soups and salads.
Ingredients:
All-purpose flour: 250 g
Salt: 5 g
Water: 100 ml
Egg: 1
Melted butter for layering: ~50 g
Filling:
Chopped scallions
Chopped radish leaves
Crushed walnuts
Salty breakfast cheese
Instructions:
1. Mix all dough ingredients until combined and knead lightly until smooth.
2. Cover and let the dough rest briefly.
3. Combine all filling ingredients in a bowl.
4. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, brush with melted butter, and fold as shown in the video.
5. Rest the dough in the fridge for a few minutes.
6. Roll it out again, spread more butter, and evenly distribute the filling.
7. Roll up the dough, shape it, and rest for about 10 minutes.
8. Brush the top with egg wash and bake in a preheated oven at 190°C (375°F) for 25–30 minutes until golden.
9. Let it cool slightly, slice, and enjoy every flaky, cheesy bite! 😋
