Описание: New Hampshire is one of America's most permissive states for off-grid living, with seventeen towns that have zero zoning laws, no income tax, no sales tax, and constitutional carry. Towns like Grafton, Pittsburg, and Errol offer radical self-sufficiency — some so remote they're only accessible by logging roads, boat, or bush plane. A legal mechanism called Class VI roads allows people to buy cheap land with cash, drop a manufactured home on it, and live largely outside the reach of municipal oversight. Grafton famously tested the limits of this freedom when libertarians moved in to dismantle local government — and inadvertently created a bear problem that made national news. The state's own laws — published RSA numbers, no-zoning lists, and complaint-driven enforcement — quietly enable all of it. "Live Free or Die" isn't just a motto; it's written into the statute books.
