Non sempre il surf casting comporta lanci a distanze siderali. Quando il fondo degrada rapidamente, come nella Sicilia orientale, possiamo trovare il pesce a poche decine di metri dalla battigia. Lo dimostra Salvo Bonaccorso, che con gli amici Nello e Marco ci fa vedere un campionario di prede che spazia dalle Mormore alle Menole, dai Pagelli agli Sparlotti e alle Boghe, con la sorpresa di una bella Murena.

In certain areas of eastern Sicily, the steep bottom holds interesting fish, which feed at reasonable distance from shoreline, as Salvo Bonaccorso demonstrates with his local team mates Nello and Marco.
