The Story of Trails - Renne

In the story of Trails, and the characters that surround the series, this is likely one of the most tragic. The story of Renne is steeped in trauma. She suffers a perceived abandonment at an early age, is reforged into a weapon by the Society, and then slowly repaired by the affection of Estelle and Joshua. It’s a very long character arc for sure, but it gives this character time to develop, to climb out of the pit she was thrust in to, and to eventually become one of the most loved in the series.

If you’re struggling to connect all the dots of Renne's Story, then hopefully this video will help you out!

In terms of the Trails in the Sky characters, heck, the characters of Trails in general, Renne was always one of my favourites, and it was brilliant to see her story continued in Crossbell. How her story intertwined with the other characters of Trails, and what kind of events surrounded her as she journeyed through Zemuria. If you think that the story of Trails is overrated, then I would highly suggest you get a load of the story of Renne, as it encompasses everything that makes a character arc gripping.

This one did indeed take me a long time to compile, as I didn't realise how involved Renne is in the grand scheme of the story of Trails, and also how intertwined she appears to be with others in the Legend of Heroes story. I'm personally happy with this outcome though, but no rest for the weary, on to the next project!
