Описание: Kevin O'Shea is an educator and life-long nature lover. Here he discusses how his passion for the environment has positively impacted his studets. Kevin O’Shea is an educator, podcaster, nature photographer and naturalist based in Shenzhen, China. Kevin grew up in rural Canada and always had a strong connection to the outdoors. Early in his teaching career, he realized that the vast majority of his students and their families had a complete disconnect from nature. Kevin became passionate about insects, birds and the ecosystems they were part of. His passion for environmentalism grew. Kevin learned he could “hook” young learners through his love of all things “creepy-crawly” and the outdoors. Over the years Kevin created groups such as Birds of Kansai and now the Nature Shenzhen community group where he leads Community Nature Walks in order to connect families with the outdoors. If we are going to protect the environment we live in from climate change and pollution, we must ensure the young people living in it have a love for it.
