‘Wisdom’ was commissioned by the Marsyas Trio during the 2020 lockdown and delves into the collective human experience of isolation and connectivity.
It is the centrepiece on their album ‘Alternative Readings’ ( 2024, Métier | Divine Art Recordings) featuring music by Michael Finnissy, in collaborations with award-winning mezzo-soprano Lotte Betts-Dean and Joseph Havlat.
This release is a testament to Michael Finnissy’s enduring legacy, offering a rich tapestry of musical exploration that transcends time and resonates with the shared experiences of humanity.
