Decorative Arts Curator Alyson Pollard shows a selection of women’s accessories from the period 1830-1940 from National Museums Liverpool's decorative arts collection.
This video was originally created for 'The Finishing Touch' exhibition held in 2011 at the Lady Lever Art Gallery.
The former exhibition showcased the wide variety of fashionable bags, shoes and hats available to women from the start of the Victorian era to the outbreak of the Second World War.
It will explore changing social customs and the place of women in society, as reflected through the accessories that they wore.
