The Statue in The Plaza is El Cid Campeador. It is 23 feet high and made of bronze. This statue was created in 1927 by Anna Hyatt Huntington, who is remembered as being the first woman to create a public monument in New York City.
El Cid Campeador is known as a legendary hero of Spain.

June 17 - Set 2nd - Every Monday night at 7:30pm free concerts at the Organ Pavilion: First Class International Artists, No Admission fee, 90 minute concert (no intermission)
