Vice President Jessica Alupo has commended Mzee Constantino Etukoit, a renowned educationist for his contribution in empowering the people of Teso sub-region. Mzee Etukoit passed away at the age of 97 years, at his home in Katakwi town council, on Friday. He had been battling diabetes, mild blood pressure and other related illnesses since 2011. The vice president noted that Etukoit had nurtured several teachers and school proprietors within the Teso sub-region, including her own mother, when the education of the girl child was unheard of. The president also eulogized the deceased, contributing 10 million shillings for burial expenses, before assuring the locals of the government’s commitment to end cattle raids perpetrated by Karamojong. #NTVNews #NTVTonight #NTVWeekendEdition
