The new Sub factory soft synth from Air musitech is dedicated to bass (surprise!). It is using 2 Wavetable oscillotors and a sample player to create bass, bass and more bass. Of course, it's a synth. So you could created other type of sounds, but the wavetables choices and included samples are clearly selected for bass sound desing.

Two wavetable oscillators : Massive range of wavetables, divided into Analog, Digital, Hybrid, Harmonic and Vowel categories with a focus on bass sounds, Coarse and fine tuning
Dual Morphing Filter : 12 filter modes, Vel → VCF control, Key-tracking
In depth modulation capabilities : DADSR Amp envelope, DAHDSR Pitch envelope with key-tracking, curve controls and one-shot mode, DADSR Filter envelope with curve controls one-shot mode, BPM sync-able LFO with 7 shapes, curve and fade controls, 7 modulation destinations each with 6 scaling modes, amount and min / max controls.
Sample playback layer : Sample start and delay settings' Coarse and fine tuning, Independent LP / BP / HP filter with clipping, Independent AHDSR amp envelope, also assignable to filter, Reverse and key-tracking switches, Side-chaining section to create ducking effect
Four effects : Ring Mod, Chorus, Drive, EQ
Unison mode
