26th November being Sunday, the Constitution day was celebrated today(25th Nov 2017) in advance. Class 9 A put up a nice programme to conclude the week long assembly programme on Constitution Day.

All of us know that India became independent on August 15, 1947. But do we know why we celebrate Republic Day? On January 26, 1950, the Constitution of India came into effect. The constitution was formed by the constituent assembly headed by Dr B R Ambedkar. What was until then known as Union of India officially became the Republic of India. For 67 years now, the Indian Constitution has been the permanent instrument that ensures the working of the government system.

What is this Constitution all about? It is the country�s supreme law. It not only defines the framework of the basic political principles, but also establishes what the various government institutions should do in terms of procedures, powers and duties. It contains fundamental rights, directive principles and the duties of citizens. It is the largest written constitution of any country in the world. The Parliament cannot override it because the Constitution was created by a special Constituent Assembly.

During the whole week, students elaborated the elements of Constitution, fundamental rights and duties, along with directive principles. Through a skit they would give information about the present day scenario and what we should actually do and how should we go ahead and improve the condition of our country, taking a pledge to follow the constitution on the 68th Constitution Day.

लोग और उनके धर्म सामाजिक मानकों द्वारा; सामजिक नैतिकता के आधार पर परखे जाने चाहिए . अगर धर्म को लोगो के भले के लिए आवशयक मान लिया जायेगा तो और किसी मानक का मतलब नहीं होगा .
