34067 Tangmere Loaded Test Train at Hellifield

Описание: A quick housekeeping note to begin with: I apologise it has been a while, but dealing with illness in the family means had to reprioritise matters and limit my video making and interactions here on YouTube. Moving forward, I am going to try to post at least one video a week.

I have recently been across in Cumbria and North Yorkshire and entirely by chance happened across SR Battle of Britain class locomotive number 34067 "Tangmere" undergoing a loaded test run between Carnforth Steamtown and Hellifield.

This was the first time in several months that the loco had been out and about, having been undergoing significant boiler work (I believe) in West Coast Railway's workshop at Steamtown. If I'm wrong about that I'm sure someone will be kind enough to correct me in the comments.

The train was already in the Up Goods Loop when I arrived at Hellifield and the crew had taken the opportunity for a bite and brew at Shed 24H before it was time to head back home.

We see Tangmere pulling away from Hellifield with a rake of 7 coaches and 57101 bringing up the rear. Train 5M50, the 1354 Hellifield Goods Loops to Carnforth Steamtown, departs bang on time via the Clitheroe Line.
