Most fitness advice acts like everyone's body, life, and goals are the same. Coach Oceane spent 2025 learning why that's exactly the wrong way to think about health.
In this coach interview, SMA coach Oceane reflects on a year that changed how she coaches, how she thinks about health, and how she approaches her own habits. It's an honest and grounded conversation about what it actually means to help real people, not just follow a template.
The standout moment from Oceane's year wasn't a program result or a milestone. It was the relationships she built with her clients and what those people taught her, about life, about individuality, and about becoming a better coach. That people-first perspective shapes everything she talks about in this interview.
One of Oceane's biggest lessons from 2025 was understanding that health genuinely looks different for every single person. Some clients want to dial in their nutrition and cut out anything inflammatory. Others want balance, eating well most of the time without giving up the things they enjoy. Neither approach is wrong. Learning to meet people where they are has made Oceane a more flexible and effective coach, and it's also helped her find her own balance in the process.
She also opens up about how much her personal outlook shifted this year, particularly around how interconnected everything is. Nutrition affects hormones. Hormones affect mood. Mood affects training. Once she started seeing health as a system rather than a set of separate habits, things started making a lot more sense without feeling overwhelming.
Looking ahead, Oceane's focus for 2026 is deliberately simple: improve her own habits across training, sleep, nutrition, and stress so she can genuinely help others do the same. More reading, more study, more curiosity and less pretending she has all the answers.
