Days after successful test flight of Gaganyaan Mission, Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) chief S Somanath offered prayers at Pournamikavu Temple in Thiruvananthapuram on the occasion of Vijayadashami. “We make sure that they get initiated into a new regime of education through this process of worshipping knowledge as gods. This is done by gurus. They initiate them into the educational process...I am really happy to be part of this journey of our culture to do the same thing for the next generation, which I got from my grandparents and gurus in the past," said Somanath while talking to media. Explaining his spiritual journey, ISRO chief said that “he is trying to understand, what is this universe is all about”.
