A live, seja palestra ou gameplay, tem duração média de 1h. "All good narrative has pretty much the same structure, a very basic and commonsensical progression of actions and events leading to a climax.
Video Games aren’t different in this sense. However, their novelty makes them uncharted territory writers and developers are still exploring.
Video Games integrate a new and unique element into narrative progression: the player’s purpose and decision making.
This compels Video Game writers to think about gameplay and game design during the process of plot writing and character development. The same applies to game designers: the need to think about narrative while developing a game idea.
Out of the right combination and cooperation between these two sides of a video game’s pre production emerges good and well crafted narrative unique to its art form."
