Russia’s Radiological, Chemical and Biological Defence Forces chief Alexei Rtishchev has alleged that Ukrainian troops used chemical agents more than 600 times on the battlefield, including in assassination attempts and drone attacks. Speaking in Moscow, he claimed riot-control agents, toxic chemicals, and improvised munitions were deployed, while also accusing Kyiv of risking large-scale contamination by targeting industrial plants. Ukraine has denied all such allegations, saying it complies with international law and the Chemical Weapons Convention, and has not responded to the latest claims at the time of publication.
