In this video we embark across the historic Erie Canal in upstate New York! Throughout the trip, we navigate numerous locks, take in the scenery, and enjoy what the towns across the canal have to offer.
Before we set off we stop at RCR Yachts in Buffalo so we can get our mast pulled. Bridge clearances along the canal are no higher than 21 feet.

We chose to take the Erie Canal because it was the shortest option to get us to the east coast. The other option would have been the St. Lawrence Waterway, but we felt that we were too late in the season to comfortably make the trip.
