Supplies needed for the test:
1. Glass of water
2. Shallow pan (cookie sheet, cooking tin, or anything you can fit your foot into)
3. Piece of cardboard (or construction paper, news paper, a paper towel...etc)

Start by pouring the water into your pan. You need just enough to wet the bottom of your foot.
Now place one foot into the water, again just wetting the bottom. Feel free to shake off any excess.
Once your foot is wet, quickly step onto your cardboard. Be sure to step firmly and evenly, as if you were standing normally.
After just a few seconds, remove your foot and you will notice a footprint left behind. You will be able to see the outline of your foot arch.
Use this footprint to compare to our arch type chart to determine you type of arch.
