In this video we discuss how to find stocks with the help of the Piotroski F Score. The Piotroski F Score is a metric created by a University of Chicago accounting professor who happened to also be a value investor. His name was Joseph Piotroski and his F score beat the market by over 13% by just purchasing high F score stocks. If you were to short the worst F score stocks, you could have earned a 23% return!



Since it's so difficult to find stocks, this F score can be a great tool in your investing toolkit. If you are screening for stocks with low price to book ratios or other value screeners, a lot of junk companies will pop out. By adding the Piotroski F Score, you can potentially screen some of the really bad companies out.



We use Apple (AAPL), United Airlines (UAL) and Cheesecake Factory (CAKE) as examples in this video.
