This live camera of Lindisfarne Castle on Holy Island (Northumberland, England) is usually set to a wide angle so you can view the big skies at sunrise and bird murmurations in season. Sometimes (for fun), we zoom in on the Castle, or change the angle for your viewing enjoyment.
On sunny mornings, the camera might get the sun in its eye, and will show a bit of glare. It’s also very dark here on moonless nights, so you might not see very much at night, apart from flying things, attracted by the camera’s infra-red light.
In the summer months and school holidays, or when we are aware of a school visit, the webcam is zoomed in, so we don’t broadcast the overflow car park, which is used as a playground for the children.
