In this vlog, I explored Torna Fort, also known as Prachandagad – the first fort captured by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj at just 16 years of age! This fort stands tall at around 1,403 meters and is one of the highest forts in Maharashtra. The views from Zunjar Machi and Budhla Machi are just unreal! 🌄

📍 How to Reach Torna Fort from Pune

If you’re traveling from Pune, here’s the easiest route:

➡️ Route:
Pune → Katraj Tunnel → Nasrapur Phata → Velhe Village → Torna Base

Distance: Approx 50 km

Time: 1.5–2 hours by bike/car

Base Village: Velhe

Parking available at the base

You can also take a bus from Swargate to Velhe and start your trek from there.

Difficulty Level: Moderate to Difficult

Time to Reach Top: 2.5–3.5 hours

Best Time to Visit: Monsoon & Winter

Major Spots: Zunjar Machi, Budhla Machi, Menghai Devi Temple

✔️ Carry at least 2–3 litres of water
✔️ Stay hydrated throughout the trek
✔️ Wear proper trekking shoes
✔️ Avoid risky selfies near edges
✔️ Carry light snacks & basic first-aid
