Leisure batteries. Noice. But what size do you get?

This is the second in my fascinating series of videos about the exciting world of leisure batteries. In the last video, we looked at the types of battery commonly available for your motor-home. In this one I take you through (in exhausting detail) how you go about choosing a battery with the right capacity (expressed in Amp hours, or Ah) for the type of motor-homing you do, i.e., mostly hooked up, always wild camping, or somewhere in-between.

In the video, I explain that to get to an estimate of the size of battery you need, you will have to list all your accessories that draw 12 volts, what current they draw and how long they are in use for each day (roughly).

Power (W) = Volts (V) x Amps (A)
Amps (A) = Power (W) / Volts (V)
Amp hours (Ah) = Amps (A) x hours (h)
Amps (A) = Volts (V) / Resistance (Ohms)
