Ten years ago, i have been a Londoner, like many new kids in town that lived in London for ten years of their life
However, i used to listen to a singer from Naples, called Pino Daniele, singing for instance ‘my sun will be born where you walk’. Thanks to his Mediterranean luring melody i returned to the land and sea of Western Sicily. It’s true, it was easy to take a flight away and get rid from the city, from London, like everyone. Harder to come back, because every time, i was flying to Sicily, and as i heard on a movie, where a Sicilian mother was encouraging his loved son to migrate and not seeing her anymore: “go away and never returned, because every time you will return, it will be harder to leave, until will be impossible”.
I played with fire, therefore, i returned, forever, and ever
