Example of autohotkey automations that increase usability of Reason:
Multiple locators (song Markers)
Changing mixer views
The script uses tagging pics of the blocks (with the words). After either pressing the song section name, it searches for the block image in reason window. When it finds it, selects it and sends "B" to the application, and reason starts playing the section.
There are also 2 preparation steps i didn't show:
To manage zoom and song position it selects all sections, zooms to selection deselects and then finds the image.
To check if the sequencer is on any of the Edit Modes, there's a step to check if comp, edit, midi edit and so on is active. all this iterations are made of pic searches.
Even with pic searches on HD monitors this tasks run faster than human mouse movements. My workflow is increasingly "away" from the mouse and more and more based only on the keyboard (hotkeys) and my control surfaces.
In the video you can also see automation for changing the mixer views. I also have scripts to add pre-created channel inserts to give context of the selected mixer channel in the surfaces.
