We carved our names in dying light, on oceans made of flame
A world behind us fading fast, but none of us the same
The sky unstitched its cosmic seams, and called us through the dark
We were just dust that learned to dream, and dared to leave its mark

No map could hold where hope would go
No voice but silence seemed to know

We are the breath between the stars
The echo of what once we were
Drifting past the edge of known
To find a place to call our own
In alien dawns we are reborn free
Where strange hearts beat in harmony
No longer bound to gravity’s plea
We are the new humanity

Their cities glow in spectral hues we never could conceive
Their eyes hold ancient galaxies, their hands don’t fear or grieve
They speak in tones like silver rain, that fall into our minds
And show us truths beyond the pain our fragile world confined


We feared the dark, but now we see
The dark was just infinity
