A horrifying accident occurred late at night when a private travel bus traveling from Nellore to Hyderabad got a sudden tire puncture and lost control. The bus veered across the road and collided with an oncoming container lorry. Most passengers were asleep, and thick smoke quickly filled the bus. Thanks to the quick actions of the bus cleaner and another alert individual, all 36 passengers were rescued by breaking windows and escaping in time. Unfortunately, the bus driver was trapped and burned alive, while the lorry driver and cleaner survived. Electric bikes inside the lorry were completely destroyed. Authorities have registered a case against the bus driver, and the RTA confirmed that the bus documents were in order. Police are investigating whether the tire puncture was the sole cause or if there were other contributing factors. A terrifying near-tragedy, this incident highlights the importance of alertness and quick thinking in emergencies.
