Can Chozen BEAT Terry Silver? Cobra Kai Explained

Описание: In Cobra Kai Season 5 there obviously will be a big beat down, this time not with the students, but I’m thinking mainly with the OG characters, with Silver and Chozen. So in today’s video let’s breakdown and analyze how this fight would go down be examining their fighting styles, personality, physicality and overall physchology as a person.

Now if you were to ask me who would win back in the 80’s, I would say Terry Silver, but now that we’re most likely going to get them fighting in Cobra Kai Season 5, the answer isn’t so clear…
Terry Silver is a monster. He’s super tall, super fast, and has kicks like Bruce Lee. His height and reach plays into his advantage and makes him a real threat, keeping his enemies at bay, not allowing them to get on the inside for body shots, which was a tactic Rocky used against Drago while the world watched them fight in Russia.
Silver has his own methods of Karate, American karate, but also a lot of influence from the east. Silver learned from Master Kim sun yung in Korea who fought in the style of tang soo do. This was a martial art that was known as the tradition version of taekwondo. Taekwondo focused on punching and kicking techniques, with emphasis on head-height kicks, jumping spinning kicks, and fast kicking techniques. The literal translation for tae kwon do is "kicking," "punching," and "the art or way of as google would define it. Terry Silver would use his aggressive fighting style to flurry Chozen and hit him fast and angry.
Chozen was trained by Sato. This is like the dark side version of Miyagi Do. Who then turned to the light. So Chozen knows all the sides of the force so to speak, including the intense mysterious secrets that he taught to Daniel. Which he’s been practicing for decades on his own.
While I believe there are secrets to Cobra Kai just like there are to Miyagi Do’s techniques, we haven’t explored those yet in Cobra Kai, perhaps we will in season 5 or 6 with more Cobra Kai backstories.

I feel like Chozen and Daniel could teach Karate against the agreement with Cobra Kai, and maybe Silver and Mike Barnes will pay him a visit. This could lead to a fight against Daniel and Chozen teaming up to fight Silver and Barnes together. Daniel would know a few more tricks up his sleeve but we don’t know how far Barnes has gone with his training all these years, so as for him beating Barnes, it’s unknown but I’d like to cover that in a video someday.

I believe Silver would definitely beat Chozen in speed and reach as he’s taller and faster...he also beats Chozen in being older which you’d think makes him more experienced however, we have to remember Chozen hasn’t stopped training. Silver stopped training for possible decades until he awoke the cobra within or should I say, Kreese lit the fire.

Chozen would have to use his most lethal strikes against Silver to his advantage. He would have to go for pressure points, however, we know Silver knows more about Cobra Kai than we thought was available. When he fought Johnny he used a pressure point in the throat to choke Johnny out, sending him back and clutching his throat, gasping for air. Chozen, in order to win, would have to be very mindful of Silver’s kicks and his quick silver method. If he can do this, I feel his technique is superior and in the end would beat Terry Silver, but that being said, I’ve never had a matchup fantasy battle this difficult to figure out. The battle could really go both ways, where Silver loses a point, he also gains one in other categories when compared to Chozen.
In the end, I think Chozen would disable him with the use of Miyagi Do pressure points, and then take his shirt off and tell him to keep it for his collection.
