Описание: Advocate Children's Hospital is participating in a multicenter study to determine whether two accepted surgical procedures to correct intermittent extropia are equally effective. Intermittent exotropia is a form of strabismus involving misalignment of the eyes when eye muscles are not well coordinated. This relatively common condition -- sometimes called "wandering eye" -- prevents the eyes from aiming at the same point in space. It usually becomes noticeable in children between the ages of 2 and 8.
