US Marines and Australia Army Kick Off Large-scale Combined Live-fire Field During Exercise "Loobye"

Описание: Australian and US military personnel have tested their rapid insertion long-range fire capability as part of interoperability training exercises in the Northern Territory.

ADF troops from Air Force and Army, alongside the US Marine Rotational Force – Darwin (MRF-D) have wrapped up Exercise Loobye — a rapid insertion long-range fire mission held in the Bradshaw Field Training Area, 350 kilometres south of Darwin.

The Marine Corps and the Australian Army Teaming up challenge their abilities to rapidly deploy, integrate with each other, and attack targets in contested locations. Exercises like Loobye demonstrate MRF-D’s ability to conduct operations as a joint force with the ADF, execute expeditionary operations, like HIRAIN, and exemplify their mutual dedication to being postured and ready to respond to a crisis or contingency.
