Описание:
Degree–Minute–Second (DMS) is a system used to measure angles and geographic coordinates with high precision.
In the DMS system, an angle is divided into degrees (°), minutes (′), and seconds (″).
1 degree (°) is divided into 60 minutes (′)
1 minute (′) is divided into 60 seconds (″)
This means:
1° = 60′
1′ = 60″
Example:
An angle written as 35° 30′ 20″ means:
35 degrees
30 minutes
20 seconds
This format allows for very accurate representation of positions and angles.
