When we think about guidance in video games, we often think about the typical and obvious things, such as a marker on your screen that directly tells you where to go. And while this is effective, it often comes at the cost of immersion. So in this video I wanted to explore a few ways that games can, and also have, made guidance feel like a natural part of the world. This is based on my own experiences from playing games, and on things that I took particular note of. So this won't be a complete and comprehensive list (and it's not intended to be). Instead, it's a look at some select ways that games make guidance feel natural.
