All of Donkey Kong's voice clips from Mario and Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympic Games, provided by Takashi Nagasako and reused from previous games including Mario Power Tennis, Donkey Kong Jungle Beat, Mario Party 8, Donkey Kong Barrel Blast, and Mario Kart Wii. This was one of the last M&S games to mainly use DK's MKWii voice clips before later games would largely reuse the voice lines from Mario Kart 8. Needless to say, he sounds much better in this game (compression aside), and his character model is also more natural-looking than the one introduced in Rio (particularly since his nose looks less uncanny in Sochi). Sochi in general is a pretty underrated entry in the M&S series, since despite coming out on the Wii U it largely retains many features from Vancouver and London on the Wii (most notably Runblebee as the announcer) and feels more like a continuation of those games than Rio and Tokyo did.
