In this video, we take a leisure journey along the South Island's Midland line from Central Canterbury to the West Coast and back, to witness the last of the extravaganza of the GE U26C DX class dominating the landscapes of the South Island. I also decided to cover a fair amount of trains within the Main South line and the Lyttelton line, including DM class on their early revenue services. The footages in this video were taken 2 weeks back in January.
Sit back and enjoy the video as they struggle to climb the steep gradients of the Midland line in full power and noise!
