Old School VS New School - skating boards from the 80's and today

Описание: The idea started as I put together an old school set up. Actually it started when I shaved my hair into a mohawk. That got me thinking about early skate days which got me to put together an old school board. I wanted to make a little edit on the board so we went out of a day of 80's skating. As i began to edit i started thinking about an idea to go from old school to the present, mixing the old school skating from Alaska with clips from Las Vegas on a current era board.

This clips were mostly filmed on an Iphone 11 and a couple on Brandon's Sony DSLR, edited with FCPX, and the titles were built with Motion.

The song is from the 1991 skate video, Life - A Soldier's Story. Im not sure but i believe Ron Allan actually sang the song. The song was in his and John Deago's part. That video, and Ron Allan, had a heavy influence on my skateboarding from early on. This video is a tribute to their impact.

The idea was to give the old school board footage a look of skate footage from the pre-video 80's when 8mm film was used.
