Jinghong City is a county-level city in Xishuangbanna Prefecture, Yunnan Province, China, and is the location of the state government. The total area is 6,867 square kilometers, and the total population in 2020 is 642,737. The word "Jinghong" means City of Dawn in Dai language.
Jinghong, Xishuangbanna, located in the tropics, has attracted many people from other regions to settle here. Some people who have settled here say that they don't want to leave after living in Banna for more than a week.
