INZOI - INARI from Finland - By Pumpuli

Описание: Today I made a character that represents a Finnish indigenous person. There are a few thousand of them living in Finland and they are a rare people in the world. They are the only existing indigenous people in Europe. They are called Sámi. They have their own language, their own culture and their own areas in Northern Finland, where they live surrounded by fells and nature. They generally take care of reindeers and make beautiful crafts.

I couldn't make a Sámi costume for this character, but the color scheme is representative of it. The facial features are common among the Sámi people, they probably have genetic heritage from Asia. I may also have distant Sámi heritage, but I don't speak the language myself. I speak basic Finnish and the Lappish dialect.

So this girl's name is Inari. There is a village named after it in Northern Finland and that is also the girl's name. It probably comes from some ancient language in Finland. So it's a really old name.

Inari likes singing and Sámi singing is called Joiku. She also likes a lot of different crafts, such as sewing clothes and making jewelry.
