Also known popularly as Կռվեցեկ Տղերք (Fight on Countrymen), the song was one of the many songs dedicated to the Khanasor Expedition, which saw the complete wipe our of the Kurdish Mazrik tribe, who frequently attacked and raided Armenian villages. The entire tribe was killed, minus the women and children. The leader, Sharaf Bek, fled wearing women's clothes to avoid getting killed. Many popular fedayis got their fame from here, such as Khanasora Vartan, Nikol Duman, and Ishkhan.
