Valley People Dyna-Mite is vintage outboarrd sound processor, featuring limiting, expansion and gating and harmonic distortion.
This unit made by Valley People comes in various forms, but we have the 19” rackmount version here. The Dyna-Mite is combination of a limiter, expander and gate. it is a 2-channel unit, on the back are balanced inputs and outputs, an external input and a control input/output. the three main functions are limiting, de-essing and gating. But in this process the Dyna-Mite does something magic to the sound; it can add some harmonic distortion, soften harshness of of drums but it can also sound very extreme.
The software version of the Dyna-Mite is made by Softube and is available as a native plug-in and for the UAD-DSP platform, which we will be using.
