Moving to the third, Texas City’s Leon Joubert (Zho-bare) with the nice dish to Jacolby Belle, Belle leads the way with 15 points for the Stingarees.
How about some stingy defense from the Stingarees, Terrell Mitchell with the steal and he heads to the other end to lay it in for two, Texas City up three after three.
Crosby not going away, Haggerty drives and the defenders fall like bowling pins, bucket and the foul for Haggerty.
But Texas City continues to use defense to set up the offense, Caden McKenzie is the beneficiary this time as he lays it in for two of his 14 on the night.
Cougars answer with some D of their own, Deniquez Dunn with the pick-pocket steal and finishes with a fast break layin.
But with less than a minute to go, Texas City’s Drake Johnigan comes up with the big block and Belle eventually finishes at the other end, and Texas City pulls into a first-place tie with Crosby
With a 53-46 win over the Cougars.
