“Shelter of the Most High” is a worship song inspired by Psalm 91 — a declaration of refuge, protection, and the unshakable presence of God. This song invites you into the warmth of His shadow, where fear fades and faith rises.
Psalm 91 has always resonated deeply with me throughout my life, especially during difficult seasons. I originally wrote a poem based on this psalm back in 1991 and titled it “Psalm 91 — A.poem for 1991.” Somewhere along the way, the original was lost, and I never knew what happened to it.
Last year, I felt led to recreate it from memory and from the way the Lord has carried me over the years. That rewritten poem became the foundation for this song.
