How To Fix Nikon D7000 focus issues

UPDATE: I no longer have the D7000, but I'm glad I found how to fix the focus issues when I did have it.

I now use the Nikon Z6ii and it hits focus beautifully - it's perhaps not quite as fast and "sticky" as some of the Sony cameras, but it's world above the older D7000.

I now create my videos with it using the 35mm and 50mm S lenses and sometimes with the Viltrox 85mm Z mount. I especially like the nicely blurred background with the Viltrox, unlike the unintentionally blurred images I sometimes got from the D7000!!!

My brand new Nikon D7000 camera body seemed to have awful focus out of the box. Not just seemed, but did have awful focus. Using a focus chart to fix focus problems is easier than you think.

When I took my first test shots (portraits of my kids) the focus was so bad I nearly packaged the camera up to return for a refund. I'd never heard of focusing issues like this before and the camera just seemed faulty to me.

After doing a ton of research on the web I found out that it's not as uncommon as you might think and I found a solution.

In this video I give you the details of how I fixed the problem and now have lenses that give very sharp results.
