BARC is the animal shelter for the City of Houston (http://www.houstonbarc.com). We provide shelter, veterinary care, and new homes to all animals brought to our facility. It is our commitment to promote animal care and protect public health through our foster and pet adoption programs.
Through your votes, we were selected as a finalist in the 2012 ASPCA $100K Challenge (http://bit.ly/BARC_100K). The goal of the challenge is to save as many lives as possible through pet adoption and rescue. From Aug. 1 through Oct. 31, BARC will work to unite Houstonians with a lifelong friend and companion.
