Quick PSA for Viewers
This video was filmed on public land where hobby gold panning is permitted. We made sure to research the rules for this specific area before heading out and stayed within the guidelines for recreational panning.
Public land regulations can vary by location and managing agency, so what’s allowed in one spot may not be allowed in another. Always verify the rules for the exact place you plan to pan and follow all local, state, and federal regulations.
Our goal is to enjoy the hobby responsibly and respect the land while we’re out there.
Join us as we head deep into the mountains of North Georgia to explore a hidden creek we call Salamander Creek, a quiet spot tucked away in the wilderness. With gold pans, classifiers, and a whole lot of determination, we searched the gravel bars and creek bends for any sign of yellow shining back at us. The crisp mountain water and peaceful scenery made the hunt just as rewarding as the finds.
Armed with simple prospecting gear and plenty of patience, we worked through the cold flow, listened to the pan swirl, and followed the subtle clues the creek gave us. From small challenges to those exciting moments of color, every step felt like a true backcountry adventure.
