I grew up listening to Fugees so I knew this one was going to hit different especially on this Fu-Gee-La instrumental. This is a classic beat and Coast Contra & Devine did more than anyone could ever imagine on it. Devine started the track off just cookin. She had the 90's flow and great delivery. Reminding us of the golden era outside of the beat. Ras goes next jumping into the freestyle like he's just been let off the leash, with the witty metaphors and crazy wordplay. Taj is next up with the aggression and cockiness and once again proving why him and his brothers are a force to be reckoned with. Rio drops in next, painting lyrical pictures with gritty bars that you can feel, and showing how hungry and competitive he is with the rhymes. Eric concludes the freestyle start with a well crafted scheme that goes into his first punchline. He continues to switch up his flow while telling a story of his father giving him his blessing to rap and do what he loves and reminding him to stay focused on the task at hand, with his talent.
